I'm Fred Zheng, a Melbourne-based business valuer, author and educator, and Co-Founder and Director of Savoir.
Through independent, evidence-based valuation, I help business owners and their professional advisers understand business value, the risks that matter and the reasoning behind the conclusion.
My background includes mergers and acquisitions and capital investment at Linde Group, together with business valuation experience in Australia, China and the United States. These experiences shape how I approach a valuation: understand how the business operates, examine the evidence and explain the reasoning clearly.
Alongside my valuation practice, I have taught valuation-related courses with CVA Institute in China since 2015. I'm also the author of six books published in Australia and China, covering business valuation, healthcare, biopharmaceuticals and business exit readiness.
I created Before You Sign, an AI-produced business drama exploring valuation, business decisions and the people behind a transaction.
I enjoy making complex questions clear. In valuation reports, teaching, books and Before You Sign, I aim to explain the reasons and judgements that shape the conclusion.
I hold an MBA and a Master of Accounting from Monash University. My professional qualifications include ASA, AIBB RBV and CVA.

You can explain it
in your own words.
I welcome enquiries and referrals from business owners, lawyers, accountants, liquidators and business brokers. We can discuss your valuation needs in English or Mandarin.
Professional advisers can be the main point of contact for referred engagements, helping coordinate information and communication.
Tell me why you need a valuation, what you want assessed and your timing requirements. We can then clarify the scope, report format and fixed project fee before work begins.
